What Is the Parent Advisory Council?

The Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is a group of First Steps parents who meet regularly to share feedback and work together to support the school community. It is a two-way conversation between families and school leadership. Ideas from families can shape every student's experience at First Steps.

Being part of the PAC does not require a formal role, a committee title, or a major time commitment.  Whether you want to raise a question, share a concern, offer a suggestion, or simply stay informed about what is happening at the school, PAC meetings are the right place to do that.

How It Works

PAC meetings take place every other month throughout the school year and run approximately one hour. Meetings are held from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm and are open to all First Steps parents and guardians.

To make participation as easy as possible for every family, meetings are available both in person at the school and online. Let us know in advance so we can make sure you have what you need to join.

Why Get Involved

First Steps is a small school, so when you come to a PAC meeting, your perspective is heard directly by school leadership and the people who make decisions about your child's experience every day.

The PAC is one of the best ways to stay connected to the school community. Understand what is happening in the classrooms, meet other First Steps families, and contribute to the school culture we are building together.

If you have ever thought I wish the school knew about this or I have an idea that might help — the PAC is exactly where that conversation belongs.

Get In Touch

If you have questions about the PAC or want to know more before attending your first meeting, reach out to us directly. We are always happy to connect.
