At First Steps Elementary Academy, we believe in providing a well-rounded education that extends beyond the classroom. Our off-site activities are an integral part of our curriculum, designed to foster physical activity and enrich our students' learning experiences.
Adventures beyond the playground
We recognize that our playground is more suited to our younger students. To compliment and encourage physical activity, our students participate in swimming, Taekwondo, Dance, Rock Wall Climbing and gym sessions at the Dawe Community Centre.
Active bodies, active minds
Our carefully curated off-site activities are designed to provide our students with opportunities to develop new skills, build confidence, and foster a love for physical activity. We focus on activities that are both fun and educational, ensuring that our students are learning and growing while they explore new horizons.
Safety is our priority
The safety and well-being of our students are paramount. We adhere to strict safety protocols during all off-site excursions. Our staff are trained in first aid and CPR, and we maintain a high ratio of staff to students to ensure close supervision. Transportation is always arranged with licensed and insured providers, and we conduct thorough risk assessments for each activity to mitigate potential hazards.
